The Miami Leo Martin March of the Living (“Miami MOTL”) program is committed to building a community that is supportive, welcoming, respectful, and empowering to all participants. Marchers are critical partners in ensuring a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all. Participants who join the Miami MOTL (the “Participants” or “Marchers”) agree to uphold the Miami MOTL program’s values and the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct for the Miami MOTL Program (referred to herein as the “Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct”), as outlined below, and also agree adhere to all rules and regulations set forth in the document below by The Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (“CAJE”), the Greater Miami Jewish Federation (“Federation”), and the International March of the Living (“IMOTL”) organizations, at all times during the entire Miami MOTL program, from beginning to end.

Please take this opportunity to review and discuss the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct as a family, and engage in conversation. Both Participants and Parents should review the Miami Program document together and sign the Miami Community Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct below.

In a separate document Parents and Participants will review and sign the International March of the Living (IMOTL) Participant Agreements.

Participants commit to participating in an active and positive manner, while also adhering to the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct, and parents/guardians of Participants agree to take responsibility for their Participant’s adherence to the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct. Participants and Parents/Guardians have carefully reviewed, understand and agree to comply with and be bound by all provisions of the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct outlined below:

• Participation & Personal Integrity: Participants represent not only the Miami and American delegation, but also the entire IMOTL. A Participant’s actions should never put the Participant or any other members of the group in a compromising situation. Miami MOTL Program schedules will be provided to the Participants and Parents.

• • Participants commit to being present at the scheduled time for all Miami MOTL meetings during the program year of 2023-2024 and to playing an active role in the Miami MOTL’s program sessions and activities before, during and after travel.
  • Program Year: Prompt attendance at all Miami MOTL sessions is required. Excessive absences may lead to the Participant's removal from the Miami MOTL program. If a Participant must miss an activity, s/he must contact the Miami MOTL staff in advance. Participants must contact Miami MOTL staff regarding these issues, not parents. It is the Participant’s responsibility to make up any required work when missing Miami MOTL sessions. Failure to complete assignments may jeopardize the Participant’s participation in the Miami MOTL program.
  • While traveling: Staying on schedule and staying safe requires the cooperation of every Participant. It means waking up in the morning on time, not wandering from the group, and respecting the overall schedule of the Miami MOTL program. The consequence of being late is that elements of the program will be canceled. It is the Miami MOTL’s goal to share as much of Poland and Israel with Participants as is possible, and the Miami MOTL needs everyone’s cooperation to enable the Miami MOTL program to be fully experienced. If a Participant is regularly late, the Participant may be held from participating that day or asked to leave the Miami MOTL program by the Miami MOTL. 
    • Meals: Attendance at all meals is required. Let your Bus Captain know if you need to leave the dining room.
    • Prayer: Attendance at Morning Prayer services is a requirement of all Participants. Participants select which service they wish to attend. Attendance is taken daily. Afternoon & evening services are optional.
• Group Behavior: The Miami MOTL is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone participating in the Miami MOTL program. The Miami MOTL’s aim is to create an atmosphere where everyone in the program is made to feel welcomed and comfortable, and each Participant plays a role in making this possible. Participants will treat all members of the staff, and guests with respect and will follow the guidelines of the local program, and Miami MOTL as a whole. Expressions of racism, verbal bullying, cyber bullying, sexism, homophobia, sexual, religious, racial or other type of harassment or other offensive, demeaning, or threatening behaviors by a Participant go against the values of the Miami MOTL program and will not be tolerated. Participants commit to behaving with sensitivity, openness and respect regarding diversity and differences including religious practices, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, and ethnic background.
• Sexual Harassment: Sexual harassment is defined as unwanted and unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, slurs, jokes and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature. The Miami MOTL is committed to an environment free of sexual harassment, and no form of sexual harassment will ever be tolerated. Any reports of sexual harassment will be taken very seriously.
• Internet & Social Media: Inappropriate use of the internet or any other means of communication is strictly forbidden. Participants commit to using their personal devices in a manner that respects the privacy of others and that does not cause embarrassment for anyone else. Marchers will not distribute or post photos or videos that could violate the dignity or privacy of others, even with the consent of those being photographed.
• Alcohol, Drugs, Gambling, Smoking, Vapes, E-Cigarettes and Illegal or Unauthorized use of Prescription Medicine are strictly forbidden: Participants shall not be involved with nor in the presence of drugs or alcohol or be in the presence of others using drugs or alcohol during the Miami MOTL program. Smoking, or possession of smoking paraphernalia of any type (including vaping with electronic cigarettes, Juuls, cigarettes, hookahs, chewing tobacco, or other similar items are strictly forbidden. Participants are not to enter alcoholic drinking establishments (bars, pubs). Possession, consumption, and/or purchase of drugs and/or alcohol will not be tolerated on the Miami MOTL program and can result in immediate dismissal. The purchase or possession of smoking paraphernalia is not allowed on the program for any reason. Participants are prohibited from gambling or entering into any gambling establishments. Due to the seriousness of this rule, all students agree to inform the staff of any violation, or pending violation, of other students.
• Violence and other prohibited acts: Violent actions of any kind, including, but not limited to, battery, burglary, sexual battery, threatening to injure a person or damage property by any means, including verbal, written, direct, indirect, or electronic means or taking any action to place a person in reasonable fear of imminent harm or offensive contact, verbal or physical bullying, and aggravated stalking are strictly prohibited. Any actions involving theft, vandalism, harassment, stalking and any other actions considered as criminal are strictly forbidden. Possession of any item that is considered a weapon or firearm under Florida or Federal law or which any law enforcement agency (including TSA) would consider a weapon or firearm is prohibited.
• Body Piercing & Tattooing: Participants must not engage in any form of body piercing or tattooing, with the exception of henna tattoos during program times. Insurance provided for participants while in Israel does not cover medical issues related to body piercing or tattooing. The Miami MOTL, CAJE, IMOTL and the Federation will not take any responsibility for teens who violate this rule and pierce and/or tattoo their bodies.
• Use of cell phones: Cell phones may not be used during any educational programs, unless specifically approved. Cell phones may be taken from Participants during educational programming to ensure full immersion and learning for Participants. Cell phones may not be used for personal calls or texts during educational programs. Staff will determine inappropriate use of cell phones and may confiscate cell phones for inappropriate use. Participants may not use their cell phones or electronic devices in public spaces during Shabbat. Participants are required to download WhatsApp and other applications in order for staff to best communicate with Participants throughout the duration of the program.
• Group Travel and Transportation: Participants must remain with the Miami MOTL group at all times during Miami MOTL programs. Separating from the group will only take place with advance permission from program leadership.
• Luggage: All luggage is the responsibility of the individual Participant. Any luggage damaged or lost during the Miami MOTL is not the responsibility of the Miami MOTL or the IMOTL.
• Buses: Our buses are shared, public space. Each Participant is responsible for keeping the bus orderly throughout the day. At the end of each touring day, Participants may be assigned bus clean up. All Participants are required to remain with their assigned bus.
• Kashrut: Our trip follows kosher guidelines to which all Participants are required to adhere. Accordingly, all food in Poland will be provided and Participants are not allowed to purchase food in Poland. We encourage Participants to bring kosher snacks on the trip. If the Miami MOTL program is peanut free, participants must strictly abide by any peanut free policies.
• Dressing Guidelines: Dressing appropriately is expected on the Miami MOTL. Modest dress is required to demonstrate the respect and sensitivity we should show one another and the sites we visit. Further details regarding dress code will be discussed and enforced throughout the program.
• Safety & Hotel Guidelines:
  • Hotel: No one may leave the hotel premises or grounds without specific permission from the Bus Captain or Travel Group Leader. No student is allowed in any of the hotel restaurants. Delivery of food from such entities as Uber Eats is strictly forbidden and poses a significant security threat.
  • Hotel Property: No towels, pillows, or any other hotel items may be taken from the hotel. Any damage to a hotel room will be charged to all individuals assigned to that room.
  • Keys: Room keys are shared with roommates. Should you or anyone in your room lose the room key, an up-to $75.00 lost key fine must be paid by everyone assigned to the room. 
  • Courtesy and Respect: Other hotel guests exist. Show them the same respect that you would like them to show you. Staff and adult participants are due the same type of courtesy and respect.
  • Rooming: All Participants will sleep in their assigned rooms, with no changes, unless instructed to do so by the Travel Group Leader.
  • Lock Hotel Room Doors: All rooms must be locked upon leaving the room, even if you are just going down the hallway. When inside the room, double lock your door!
  • Room Visitation: Students may not be inside opposite gender rooms. All such meetings may take place in assigned areas.
  • Curfew & Wake-Up: To fully appreciate the program, a good night's sleep is essential. A curfew will be enforced at the discretion of the Miami MOTL trip staff. Each Participant is responsible for his/her roommates in terms of curfew and wake-up. Curfew is enforced. Gross violation can send a Participant home at his/her and family’s expense. Participants are expected to abide by these curfew rules. Leaving your room after curfew is a serious rule violation.
  • Visitors: Permission to have visitors must be obtained from the Travel Group Leader. No outside visitor is allowed in your room or is allowed to sleep on the floors of your room at any time. Visitors may see you only during announced visitation time. All visitors must leave the hotel at assigned times. You are responsible for the actions of your visitors. All rooms should be locked upon leaving, even if you are just going down the hallway. When inside the room, double lock your door. Interconnecting doors may not be opened. Never open your door without knowing the person on the other side. If someone identifies him/herself as “hotel security or room service,” call your staff or the hotel front desk BEFORE unlocking the door.
  • Room Charges: No room charges are to be made, including long distance phone calls, rent-a-movie, room service, etc.
  • I.D. Badges: March of the Living I.D. Badges must be worn by Participants at ALL times, in a visible location on the Participant’s upper body.
  • Masks: Participants will wear masks when appropriate and informed to do so.
  • Covid-19 Testing: Participants will willingly participate in Covid testing and Covid policies as is necessary throughout the program.

Failure to abide by the rules as set forth above, could lead to the Participant’s not being able to participate in the Miami MOTL program, or being sent home from Poland or Israel. Any cost incurred in sending a Participant home due to the violation of the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct will be at the Participant’s and his or her parent’s or guardian’s own expense.

Participants must adhere to the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct, and Parents/Guardians of Participants agree to take responsibility for their Participant’s adherence to the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct. Participants and Parents/Guardians have carefully reviewed, understand and agree to comply with and be bound by all provisions of the Participant Commitment & Code of Conduct Agreement outlined below:

Commitment of Participant and Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

1. We understand that violating any of the rules stated in this Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct will put the Participant at risk of removal from the Miami MOTL program and that we, as parent(s)/guardian(s), will be responsible for paying for all damages that are caused as a result of such removal. The family will not be reimbursed for any tuition paid and will be responsible for associated costs, including, but not limited to, the cost of special transportation to the airport, the cost of the plane ticket home from the country we are in, or, if available at a lesser cost, the cost of the airline change fee, as well as the cost of the ticket for a flight chaperone if needed. Additionally, any scholarship funds awarded will need to be reimbursed to the Miami MOTL and paid for by Parent/Guardian in full within the time frame provided by the Miami MOTL staff.

We understand that if the Participant voluntarily withdraws from the MOTL program they will only receive refunds based off of the agreed upon Cancellation and Refund Policy. If a Participant behaves in a manner that results in his/her dismissal from the program, families will be held financially accountable and responsible for any subsidy that the Miami community has invested on behalf of the Participant. This is particularly relevant for those receiving Financial Assistance and the amount families would need to be responsible for is the Financial Assistance received in addition to the overall program tuition. We understand that this amount could be as much as, but will not exceed the cost of the program.

We understand that the Director of the Miami MOTL and Miami MOTL Manager have the authority to dismiss any Participant without refund who violates the following rules set forth in this Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct including, but not limited to, the following:

•  Willfully disregards program rules, including, but not limited to the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct, all rules and regulations set forth by “CAJE”, the “Federation”, and the IMOTL, at any time during the Miami MOTL program, from beginning to end.
• Endangers the Participant’s or others’ safety.
• Harms him/herself or other members of the local or International March of the Living community or anyone in the countries we are visiting.
• Destroys property or the property of another member of the local or International March of the Living community or any location in the countries we are visiting.
• Requires greater supervision than can reasonably be offered by the program.
• Does not follow the Miami MOTL and International March of the Living Participant Commitment & Code of Conduct that families sign separately.
• Acts in any way the Miami MOTL staff finds to be detrimental to the Miami MOTL program.

With reasonable suspicion of violation of any of the terms of this Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct, The Miami MOTL, CAJE and the Federation, and hired and volunteer staff reserve the right to search Participants' possessions. Staff reserves the right to administer breathalyzer tests and/or search any Participant’s belongings or room at any time and for any reason during the course of the program.

Violation of these prohibitions will lead to a disciplinary investigation and may serve as grounds for removal from the Miami MOTL program, at the discretion of Miami MOTL program leadership. Each disciplinary situation is evaluated individually, but as a general rule, any infraction related to physical violence or threat of physical violence, expressions of racism, verbal bullying, cyber bullying, sexism, homophobia, sexual, religious, racial or other type of harassment or other offensive, demeaning, or threatening behaviors, inappropriate use of the internet or any other means of communication, verbal or physical bullying, involvement with or being under the influence of or in the presence of drugs/controlled substances and/or alcohol, and leaving the group without authorization are dealt with on a zero-tolerance basis.

A single infraction may result in immediate separation from the Miami MOTL group and may be grounds for dismissal from the Miami MOTL program. The Miami MOTL staff reserves the sole right to make these decisions. In the event of a Miami MOTL program dismissal, the parents of a dismissed Participant will be solely responsible for all associated fees, including, but not limited to, the cost of special transportation to the airport, the cost of the plane ticket home from the country we are in or, if available at a lesser cost, the cost of the airline change fee, and a flight chaperone if necessary. No portion of the program fees and program tuition, will be refunded and any scholarship funds awarded will need to be reimbursed to the Miami MOTL in full within the time frame provided by the Miami MOTL. Given the international nature of the program, the consequences of dismissal are extremely serious, embarrassing, costly, and disruptive to the rest of the group.

This program includes travel to foreign countries (Poland & Israel). The laws are different and Participants may not have the same rights as they have in the United States.

2. We understand that Miami MOTL staff members are authorized to take all necessary measures for ensuring the welfare of the Miami MOTL group and for enforcing rules and policies set forth in this document and in the separate International March of the Living agreements. Staff members are authorized to set limits on Participants if their conduct is liable to impact the group's experience or sense of safety. We understand that the program staff, should they deem it necessary, may alter or add rules and guidelines to the program's Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct. Rules and guidelines can change while traveling to ensure the safety of all Participants.

There is a range of behavioral matters which are dealt with on the Miami MOTL program through a series of steps -- which may involve a staff-Participant conversation, a formal warning, loss of free time or other privileges, program probation, conversation with parents/guardians, and/or ultimately dismissal. Again, the Miami MOTL staff reserves the sole right to make decisions related to behavioral conduct and disciplinary consequences. Any specific questions related to disciplinary rules and regulations should be directed to the Program Manager of the Miami MOTL at [email protected].

3. We authorize the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and any staff representatives to communicate to Doctors, Mental Health Professionals, Rabbis, Educators, Youth Professionals, those who refer students to the program, Synoguagues, Youth Groups, schools, and other community agencies about a teen and/or family participating on the Miami March of the Living program. 

We understand that March of the Living staff have an obligation to report inappropriate behaviors to other community agencies. Program staff from March of the Living, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation have an obligation to inform community leaders and organizations about a Participant’s scholarship support, disciplinary investigation, behavior, engagement, and/or removal from the March of the Living Program. This could include informing and consulting a synagogue, other youth program leadership, and/or the Participant’s current school, their future college/University/Gap Year program of the situation that occurred. Additionally, a Participant who is removed or facing disciplinary action or investigation from a school or community program should inform March of the Living leadership of these issues and may face disciplinary action from the March of the Living program.

4. We will share any relevant and up to date health and/or mental health information with the Miami MOTL immediately upon our receiving such information. Additionally, we will immediately notify the Miami MOTL staff of any significant change in Participant’s health during the course of the program, to enable the staff to accommodate specific needs. This includes if the Participant begins an antibiotic regime within 10-days of traveling on the program.

• Medical Treatment: The undersigned authorize and direct the Miami MOTL program leaders and their respective staff members to exercise their best judgment in seeking and obtaining medical aid or hospital care should the same be indicated or required in the event of an illness or accident or injury to the Participant while participating in the Miami MOTL program. The undersigned acknowledge that such medical treatment does not include treatment for pre-existing conditions, dental treatment or eyeglasses. ○
  • Medications: The undersigned authorize their Participant who takes medication on a regular basis to be responsible for that regimen. The undersigned acknowledge that the medical staff with the Miami MOTL group during travel is not responsible for dispensing medication and that any staff members, other than a licensed physician or nurse, are not permitted to dispense medication of any kind. Participants who travel with prescription medications will not share the medication with other Participants. If the Participant requires medical attention beyond their regular routine, they will see a licensed medical professional.
  • Consultation with Physician: The undersigned agrees to consult with a physician of the undersigned's choice regarding the physical and emotional condition of the Participant. By permitting the Participant to join in the Miami MOTL program, the undersigned is representing to the Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, that the Participant does not suffer from any physical or emotional ailment, condition or disability which (a) requires ongoing medical or surgical care or treatment or psychological therapy that cannot be suspended for a three week overseas travel experience, (b) makes the Participant's commitment in the program unwise, unwarranted or a potential source of danger to the Participant or others who may travel, house with, or participate in the program, or (c) creates a high likelihood that the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct signed by each Participant would be violated during the Miami MOTL program by the Participant.

5. Public Relations (“PR”) and Marketing: We hereby authorize CAJE, the Federation, the Miami MOTL, and the IMOTL, to use any photograph, video, image, likeness, utterance or statement in which my child may appear or be involved, in whole or in part, in any media, including the Internet, for promotional, fundraising or other purposes, without approval by or compensation to the Participant or parent. We hereby release Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, from any and all liability in connection with the use of any such photograph, video, image, likeness, utterance or statement. I acknowledge and agree that the Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, may use photographs, videotape, audio recordings, and/or written accounts of the program sessions and travel experience for PR in which my child may appear.

6. Release and Waiver of Liability: This Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct shall be construed in accordance with the laws of Miami-Dade County. Any disagreement, claim, cause of action or suit of any nature whatsoever between the parties may only be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction. The undersigned acknowledge (i) the value and importance of the program, (ii) the risks inherent in the program, and (iii) that the sponsors, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, cannot provide such programs if they have to bear liability for the potential risks described above. Therefore, the undersigned, on behalf of themselves and on behalf of the Participant, and their respective heirs and personal representatives, hereby agrees:

•  Not to sue, assert a claim against, attach the property of, or to prosecute any of the sponsors Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and all affiliated entities, and their respective directors, officers, members, agents and employees relating to the loss of life or limb, any personal injury, harm, accident, illness, loss of property (whether belonging to the Participant or to a third party), claim, suit, damage, liability or expense, in any way affecting the Participant, howsoever caused, and whether caused, directly or indirectly, by any of the sponsors, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, and/or the Participant or other program Participants, arising out of or in connection with the Participant's participation in the Miami MOTL program.
• To release, indemnify and hold harmless the sponsors, The Miami Leo Martin March of the Living, the Center for the Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE), and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, from and against any claim, damages, suit, liability or responsibility asserted against the sponsors Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation for theft, loss or damage to the property of the Participant or third parties.
• To indemnify and hold harmless the sponsors Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation from and against any claim, damages, suit, liability or responsibility asserted against the sponsors Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation arising out of or in connection with the acts or omissions of the Participant.
• To authorize Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation to use any photograph, video, image, likeness, utterance or statement in which Participant may appear or be involved, in whole or in part, in any media, including the Internet, for promotional, fundraising or other purposes, without approval by or compensation to the Participant or parent. We hereby release IMOTL, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation from any and all liability in connection with the use of any such photograph, video, image, likeness, utterance or statement.
• To authorize IMOTL, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and any staff representative of any of the above to make necessary immediate medical decisions on behalf of the Participant.

7. Covid-19: I acknowledge that novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infections have been confirmed throughout the world. In accordance with the most recent guidance and protocols issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for slowing the transmission of COVID-19, I hereby agree, represent, and warrant that my child will not participate in the Miami MOTL Program within 14 days after (a) returning from highly- impacted areas subject to a CDC Level 3 Travel Health Notice, (b) exposure to any person returning from areas subject to a CDC Level 3 Travel Health Notice, or (c) exposure to any person who has a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. I further agree, represent and warrant that I have had the opportunity to discuss my child's participation in the Miami MOTL program with my child's health services provider and that my child shall not participate in the Miami MOTL program if he or she experiences any symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to any individual with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. I understand that if my child exhibits any symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of the Miami MOTL program's commencement, my child will not be permitted to participate in the Miami MOTL program. Moreover, if during the course of the IMOTL, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and their respective agents, staff, and consulting medical professionals develop any concerns about my child's exposure to, or symptoms of, COVID-19, my child may be quarantined and will receive medical care as deemed appropriate by the treating medical providers. I further acknowledge and agree that, due to the nature of the Miami MOTL Program, social distancing of 6 feet per person among program participants and the agents and staff of IMOTL, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation is not always possible. I fully understand and appreciate both the known and potential dangers of my child's participation in the Miami MOTL program and acknowledge that such participation may, despite the reasonable efforts of IMOTL, Miami MOTL, CAJE, and the Greater Miami Jewish Federation to mitigate such dangers, result in exposure to COVID-19, which could result in quarantine requirements, serious illness, disability and/or death of my child or any person who may contract COVID-19, directly or indirectly, from my child.

8. Act of War: If war is declared in any location that materially interrupts the performance of the Miami MOTL program, or actually precludes the program’s ability to travel, the Miami MOTL has the right to terminate the travel portion of the program and follow the cancellation agreement that has been established by each party.

9. Fees and Withdrawal, and Cancellation/Refund Agreement: The Miami MOTL program requires an application fee of $260. If the Participant withdraws voluntarily with written notice or is asked to withdraw from the program, Miami's Leo Martin March of the Living program reserves the right to keep the full program fee. More information regarding program fee guidelines and refund policies will be made available on our website: https://caje-miami.org/teens/miamimotl/ and on the Payment, Cancellation, Refund Policy agreement each family is required to sign. The undersigned acknowledges that the leaders of the Miami MOTL Program reserve the right to require any Participant to withdraw from the program (or restrict a Participant's involvement in particular activities) (i) because of undisclosed medical, physical or emotional ailment, condition or disability, or (ii) if the acts or conduct of Participants are deemed detrimental by the Miami MOTL leaders to the safety, interest, harmony, comfort or welfare of the Miami MOTL program and the other Participants in the Miami MOTL program.

10. Insurance: Travel Insurance is compulsory for all Participants and is non-refundable. The Miami MOTL recommends third-party coverage that Participants can opt into or Participants can seek coverage that is equivalent. Travel insurance should cover appropriate medical coverage per program requirements. Participants may consider purchasing travel insurance with Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) which may provide coverage that the Miami March of the Living Cancellation/Refund Policy does not cover. Information regarding travel insurance requirements will be provided to families during the program year.

11. International Travel: I hereby give my Participant permission to attend the Miami MOTL program sessions and trip to Poland and Israel. In the case that my child has dual citizenship with Israel, is an Israeli citizen, or is a citizen of a country other than the United States, I will make sure that he or she will have the proper documents to travel in and out of the United States, Poland, and Israel.

Agreement

By signing below, all Participants and Parents/Guardians agree to abide by the Participation Commitment & Code of Conduct as set forth by the Miami MOTL program. It is expected that Participants will act with the highest degree of responsibility and represent themselves, their family, and community with the highest integrity. If Participants do not comply with these expectations, consequences including program dismissal may occur as noted above.
